Videomākslas tēva Nam Džun Paika retrospekcija Liverpūlē Tate Liverpool 17.12.2010 - 13.03.2011
Video artist, performer and composer Nam June Paik (1932-2006) was one of the most innovative artists of the twentieth century and is widely considered to be the first video artist, paving the way for the 'MTV generation'. From 17 December 2010 to 13 March 2011, Tate Liverpool presents the first major retrospective of Paik's work in the UK.
Representing works from all phases of his career, many shown in the UK for the first time, the exhibition traces the artist's avant-garde and experimental spirit.
Tate Liverpool's exhibition offers a definitive look at Paik's body of work, from the scores of early music performances and TV works, to robot sculptures and large-scale video installations.
Groups of ten or more receive discounted entry to Nam June Paik when booking at least two weeks in advance of their visit. Adult tickets £5, concessions £4.
Special introductory talks to this exhibition are available at an additional cost of £5 per person. Discounts are available Monday to Friday only.
Family tickets are available from £12.
